- As soon as I.R.A. deactivates after each defeat you are *immediately* given credit for that wave and the data is sent to the leader board. The dialogs on Whizzlebang simply let you abort cleanly if you realize between waves that you're "done" and don't want the event to start up again while you're exiting the zone.
Does your boss know you are this upset over a ranking system in a virtual world while you're at work?
Do you feel you should inform him about your current emotional status?
Also, we did 13 waves and its only listing us as having done 11. Some bug in the event reporting itself in addition to the expected eqplayers bugs?
Currently you will see other guilds in the list but if you actually click on them there is usually only the one member who is now in your guild.
So this morning the leaderboards populated. Despite having done the event and gotten past several waves, our guild <Savage Arms> doesn't show up. Other guilds on The Seventh Hammer are on there. What gives?Nodyin-Dev wrote:- As soon as I.R.A. deactivates after each defeat you are *immediately* given credit for that wave and the data is sent to the leader board. any chance that can be sped up? it's a competition, and if you don't know until a day after whether you got beaten, it's a bit hard to plan. i guess you just plan that everyone will do it the last day and try their hardest, whether they need to or not?
You are given credit for the event activities immediately, however, the leaderboards are updated once every 24 hours so it will not reflect in the score until then. Please keep an eye on it to let me know if it doesn't update for you though.
the rankings system right now is extremely bugger. Currently my guild Firestormers is the only guild on the povar server to attempt the living legacy raid. Yet because the system is based on eqplayers it is bugged. According to the rankings Final Empire and Darkova also reached 15 raids. I know why this is, because eqplayers never updates and we have gotten members that were previously in both these guilds and still are on eqplayers they have also "achieved" 15 waves. It takes away from out own guilds accomplishments when other guilds that haven't even attempted the event are tied on the leaderboard when they are behind us and have not even tried it. The ranking system is a joke. What were you guys thinking of when you based it on eqplayers, you could have just done a /who of the zone and been better off because it is taking away from our own accomplishments and giving them to others who ahve not done anything yet.
I suspect that many of the issues being reported regarding guild status and Living Legacy information may stem from some confusion about how the EQPlayers update works. This is our fault for not making this clear earlier, and for that I apologize.
In order for your EQPlayer data to be updated, you MUST have your EQPlayer Auto Update turned on. Just issuing the /eqplayer command IS NOT sufficient to update your data.
To update your EQPlayer data you must:
1. Turn ON EQPlayer Auto Update
a. This can be found in the General tab in the options window (ALT-O)
2. Issue the /eqplayer command from your chat window
3. Turn OFF EQPlayer Auto Update (if you wish it to be off)
Again, I apologize if this information was not clearly stated before. I admit that I didn't know this until just this morning.
NOTE: it will still take some time for EQPlayers to update your information after following the steps above, so please do not expect the information to change immediately after the update is done. Please allow some time (24 hours for Living Legacy leader boards) for the update to complete.

I've passed the word along to my guild. It's not very intuitive to activate an auto updater in order to manually update something.
Can word be passed to the UI developers to change the in-game description of the auto updater; or, find someone who can modify the mechanics of the command line entry to activate the updater, run it, and disable it if the auto updater is unchecked?
Thanks for the info.
Posted on the EQPlayers board.
I agree about it being counterintuitive.
/shrug.
Thanks for this post, but please realize, most people have this turned on and it simply doesn't work. I know that I personally had to petition and wait 2 months before my profile started updating. A guild mate went on an all out war to get his fixed and ended up leaving the game as a result.

As far as I know, this isn't the case anymore. At least, my characters update just fine since the Maintenance a few weeks ago.
"Counter-intuitive"? /snicker
How about "bug"?
