I attended the EQ panel at DragonCon, and received an email from Aimee stating that panel attendees would be allowed into beta at the same time as the Fan Faire attendees.

 

I filled out the beta application and provided her with my station name, as instructed by her email.  However, I have not received anything except the standard "welcome to the beta pool" email.

 

Any info would be appreciated.

Still nothing here. I got the registration Email weeks ago.  It seems this time around FF people were lost in the shuffle. I think we got to register early, but we were placed on the same list and other people that register.  With the release date of Dec 1st what to FF people get 2-3 weeks in beta? Is there really anything left to test?

Making a list and checking it twice. 

Still nothing after a few posts and a few PMs.  It is wonderful that they give us the hopes of getting into Beta "early" without too many hoops but it seems to be an issue every year

I know I have signed up for it ...checked my emails and have recieved the initial letter.  It would be nice to be able to join my friends sooner rather than later.

If you were official registered Fan Faire and/or the Dragon Con panel but didn’t get flagged for the Underfoot Beta! 

• Did you sign up on the Beta list? 
• When signing up for beta did you verify your Email address and agree to the NDA? 
• Did you sign up for beta with the same account you used for Fan Faire Registration or that you provided at Dragon Con? (This must be the same) Also, walk in Fan Faire registrant that didn’t provide station account information didn’t get flagged.

Hey there.  If you signed up on the page, then you were placed in the pool.  You'll need to wait get selected when they pull from the pool again. No specific timing on this yet. 

I did not attend ff. but i did sign up for beta and recieved my welcome to beta letter telling me to go to the ftp site and save the beta.zip file.

i went to the ftp site and the beta file was not there. any help on this?

I am in the same boat, didn't attend, signed up and got a letter this week.  I went to the FTP site and the file that they are saying i need is not there... and refresh does not bring it up, also, not sure this makes a difference, but the FTP site link they gave in the email is not the same FTP site that laods when you click on the link or put the link in the web browser.  I have tried using both OE and Chrome.

ALSO, I used the beta exe I already had on file and it updated a lot and then took me to the server screen and I was able to get it.

Bottom line is if you are already accepted you do not need the "new" beta exe to update what you have already.  It will update it when you click on it.
