Ok so there is a thread for the good, now let us have one for the bad. Keep it civil, do not attack another person's view point, be constructive.

And keep  it short.

Perhaps with enough positive feedback about the negative aspects of the expac, some change may come.

Ok, so my worst things about RoK is the ability to side with EVERYONE that has a faction which can be raised. In proper eq terms, if you are loved by sarnaks, you should be hated by iksar, etc, etc....

Worst is that this feels like launch again.  The Solo questline is great, if you're solo.  It is next to impossible to follow the solo questline with a group, however.

There are so many points where if someone has to drop out, he's now unabl eto get any updates with you.  For almost all of the faction questlines, they are a linear progression.  You can't get this one, because you haven't finished that one yet...etc.

You can still group, but usually end up with one that needs to do a turnin here, and another needs a turnin for another faction across the zone...

It just feels disjointed.

The performance hit the game took for me whether or not I'm on Kunark or not.

Theres lots of worst things about ROK. Lets start with missing zones. The world map shows land all the way around the lake of ill omen but we can only get to 3 sides of it so 60% or more of the lake we dont have access to. And it looks like we are missing about 1/3 of the actual land mass of kunark.

No place for iksars to start

Kurns tower screams come to me you run up to it and you cant go inside of it. That is very dissapointing.

Cablis isnt there even as a dungeon once agian i feel iksar players are shafted we cant start out on our home contenant every race has to oppurtunity to make friends and earn faction with all the iksar factions and we have no option to live here on kunark. (sure you see the outside part of cablis but that was in the feild of bone in eq1 so its not really cablis since it was its own zone in eq1 and when you got to where the zone in is it's just a wall.

Actually, pieced all together, the only part of the map that's missing is a small sliver roughly where Warslik's Woods was located.  It'd be nice to have a connection zone between Fens and Jarsath up there.

It would have been nice to have an Iksar starting city on Kunark.  Seems wrong not being able to start and Iksar there.  The fact that the mainland of Kunark is all 70+ makes having Cabilis or Sebilis as  a starting town impossible.  They could have given TD to the Iksar instead of the Sarnak as a starting zone, but then they couldn't market the expansions as ahving a new playable race.

I'm assuming that Kurn's Tower will be patched in some time ala Unrest.  I hope.

The negativity of everyone about it?
(and the influx of population causing crashes on servers I don't play on)

The lack of good gear that drops in the dungeons.  That is of course, assuming that you could find a group for an RoK dungeon.

The "We need to include levels 71-79 even though they aren't important" feel of the entire expansion.

Feels a tad unfinished to me. The above are all true to me, but I'll go with somethng yet unmentioned,

The lack of linked mob encounters. It's greatly diminishing my fun. One single mob after single mob. It's so repetetive and predicatable.

In the Fens, I loved the run to the Nurgan Mines for the two linked mob encounters there, even though they aren't tied to any of the quests. And whenever I needed to whack stonebeaks, I'd always try those two linked mob encounters first.

Hopefully, we'll see pair and trios of mobs hooked up soon with the appropriate modifers to their /\ \/ arrows. Diversity makes for a richer environment. And is needed by those clases who are differentiated from other classes by their superior encounter based abilities.

lets see two things for me:
1SMILEY The constant whining of raiders in the 70s channels about everything.
2SMILEY The knowledge that KoS is going to be the high point of my warlock since the total lack of multi-mob encounters and all the link happy mobs means his multitude of encounter limited area effect abilites will gather dust except for the only PbAoE ability he has. seriously if your abandoning the encounter system can our encounter limited effects be changed or something.

The fact that Sony decided to make a massively mutliplayer game a massively solo game. There's waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay to much solo content. They should have just made a ton of repeatable quest instead of 1000 different non repeatable quests. There's no starting city for iksars (which was mentioned pre expansion ifyou did the Kunark quests starting at the docks).

The lack of good group items. Karnors is useless, as is sebilis and chardok. i'm not sure about COA yet. City of Mist seems beyond useless, jsut a totaly waste.

If the devs are going to be super lazy with these dungeons please don't name then after the eq1 dungeons where devs put actual thought into them. EVERY SINGLE old eq1 zone is a dissapointment.

I sure hope they come out with the rest of the map, otherwise this exspansion is a huge let down

The bottom line is that I would have rather them do a direct copy/pasted eq1 zones with new graphics/loot tables rather then the junk we have now. Sokokars are the only good thing in the this exspansion

The single most annoying thing about RoK is the lack of linked encounters. I have a lvl 74 Warlock and I'm sick to death of single mob after single mob. I don't get use any of my big spells as they are all encounter AoE's. At this rate I can ditch most of my hotbars and only use one.

I have a similar problem on my Pally, he's got 5 or 6 AoE's that never get used any more.

I like the look of the zones and the sokokars are cool. I am only halfway thru this expanion and lvl 76 so I may see a change by the time I hit the end of this expansion. Some of the things I don't like so far are:

I see tons of quest rewards for the same slots ( waist, neck, earring ) but I don't see much for other slots ( that are upgrades from easy eof stuff ). One can only wear so much jewelry.. I'm a plate healer. I see so much cloth and leather I'm drowning in it but the few plate items I've seen have no wisdom or are not an upgrade. CoA,  saw a couple items with wisdom on it, but they were all chain. Why can't plate healers have something also?? When I first starting getting into RoK and I saw some of the quest rewards I was starting to get excited, until I realized later on I was getting stuff for the same slots or stuff that was lower quality than I had just gotten from the previous zone or from EoF..

Also whats the deal with the named in the first few zones being so easy then dropping crap loot? I as a 75 templar was able to solo many of those named and the loot was like ok, thats junk..

I don't know what happened to the dev or devs that handles the loot side of RoK but I wish they would wake up and provide more plate or items that fit the class doing the quest. This part of the game has been such a huge disappointment for me and my partner. I thought loot was supposed to improve with each expansion, at least on the 70's end of things. I hope something changes soon or is revamped, anything. Because at the rate its going I am quickly losing the desire to complete RoK.

The worst thing?

Being slapped with an 85 hour download after installing the RoK all-in-one if you happen to live in an area without broadband.

8 hours to go!

No chance (or very little) of seeing a Master Chest before level 80.....

Sanctum of Scaleborn was a massive time sink, but at leat you were rewarded with a master chest every once and awhile.

Complete lack up triple-up mobs with levels ranging from 70 to 80...
