Does anyone have the e-mail address for the webmaster?

The flashing banner ads on the EQ2 website are driving me nuts!

Is Sony really in need of money this badly?

My question is why do you keep going to the front page?  I haven't been to the front page in a long time.  Just bookmark directly to the forums or eq2players.  The main webpage never changes.

I never go to the EQ2 main website page.  I either go to the eq2players website or the eq2 forums bypassing everything.

Personally, I think that banner is a bad idea. SMILEY

I just went there to see if I could see what you're talking about, and there was an ad for LOTRO on it.

LOTRO is a nice game, but not really something you should be advertising...  *shrug*

Wow, I just went to look and refreshed a few times...

Ask.com, 3D screensavers, Harley-Davidson Motorcycles, University of Pheonix...o.O...

I don't remember that being there last time I was on the front page. I agree, it does look very unprofessional for a company that probably makes a ton of money already. It takes away from the nice design of the front page. Since the main people who go to the front page would be new/potential players, I would think you would want to give the best possible impression. :-/

I don't see anything other then EQ2 stuff on that page. And if I click the EQ2 clicky above the posting area, I still don't see any flashing ad or anything that doesn't deal with EQ2.
I use Firefox though, so perhaps it might be automatically blocked.

I do see a verizon ad off to the right and I'm using firefox too.  *shrugs*  Its not that obnoxious, but it does seem a bit  . . . . whats the word? . . . . cheesy for SOE to put ads like that on their game site.

Ok.....I didn't see it at all in Firefox, so I checked it out in IE. Only ad that I saw was off to the right, same one you saw.
Honestly, it's not that bad. Besides, unless you're completely new to the game, you shouldn't really be going through that part of the site every single time you log on to the forums or something along those lines.
Bookmark the stuff you go to regularly, and it won't be a problem.
Or better yet, get Firefox with Adblock.
