So mine is a work in progress. I'm thinking of adding around the back and other sides of the pumpkin some of the other symbols related to this one, but for now, I've got this done.

Next my inspiration, a set of symbols I have been utterly fascinated with since EverQuest, most especially since I love the Teir'dal:
Finally, my pumpkin:
Tools used: steak knife, swiss army knife fish scaler utensil, computer and printer and image, wooden kebab stick, old eyeliner pencil, me!
How I made it: I made a stencil of the above image by inverting the colors in GIMP 2.0 (a shareware Photoshop-esque program) and then printing it at max size on my printer. Then, I used an exacto knife used for cutting out paper shapes to cut out the areas on the stencil that I wanted to cut out of the pumpkin. Then, I used the eyeliner pencil (used because it would be easy to clean off the pumpkin later) to outline the stencil on the pumpkin. Then, I started cutting things out, using the steak knife for the larger sections and the fish scaler (the only knife-like tool we had that was small enough to make some of the precision cuts required) for the smaller sections. The kebab was used to poke out the circles and the ends of the bones.
I had loads of fun doing it!
