Sunderer No More? - Perhaps You Have a Better Name

The Sunderer is getting a full on revamp so it can barge through gates, blast enemies, and get troops into the action safely. From the cow catcher to mow through obstacles, to side machine guns to cut down the infantry, you're going to see a whole new animal on the battle field.

With that said, the PlanetSide team feels that the Sunderer is a bit of a frumpy name and that could use a revamp as well so we're going to allow the players a chance to come up with some names that you all think would be suitable. Oh yeah, the names need to be empire specific too since we've added empire specific weaponry to each empire's Sunderer.

IF it's really going to be as you describe, then I love the name "Juggernaut".

Or some variation of those if one of them goes better with a different empire.

I tried to make them fit the empire themes. "Vindicator" for the NC, since they want to vindicate themselves as superior to the TR oppressive rule. "Leviathan" for the VS since they're sort of sci-fi ethereal, and the Leviathan is a giant monster from ancient mythology. "Retributor" for the TR since they want retribution against the VS and NC for rebelling against the Republic. "Juggernaut" for common pool since this thing sounds like a big, bad-arse menace, and it's a neutral word that doesn't sound like it should be especially associated with any of the three empires' motifs.

I kinda like nova for the VS but add some sexy prefix to it, like Tera.

i was thinking:

tr: executor (egg-zec-you-tor not ex-ecutor)

vs: victory

nc: condor (birdy?)

or

tr: executor

vs: Annihilator

nc: victory

obviously you can change around the names for each empire but i was just specifying all the names i think would be good, aspecially the tr's executor

I think the problem is the name Sunderer finally describes what you are actually making! The current Sundy is not very useful. It doesn't really sunder anything. But this new one.... sounds like it might actually do some sundering...

So I'm down with keeping the name the same.

So its a heavily armored, gate-crashing troop transport?

TR: Juggernaut (it just fits.... props to whoever said it first)
NC: Hammerer or Forger or Drover
VS: Surger (the enemy surged through the gates)

I'm not a fan of Nova. It's so cliche...every Sci Fi fiction ever created has "Nova" somewhere in it.

i dont like juggernaut tbh. the name jsut sounds slow heavy and boring which this new sunderer doesnt sound like. its way to common as well, a very standard transport name, take SW EAW forces of corruption, there heavy troop transports are called juggernaut, and there extremerly slow large and boring. this vehicle is gunner be attached with new guns, have its speed and menuverability buffed up and its gunner be powerfull, extremerly strong with huge knifes at the front. give its name more sharpness.
