It is with great pleasure that I announce we have brought back PlanetSide Universe IRC! What is IRC you ask? IRC or Internet Relay Chat is an old school chat system founded in 1988 that still has tons of users today. We would like to invite all PlanetSide fans out to our server to idle! PSU IRC in the past had hundreds of users and many channels to choose from.
Users are free to register their nicknames and channels - you may want to create a channel for your outfit, or your favorite sports team. Whatever the case may be users are totally free to do so and manage their channels however they would like. Below are some resources to get you started on IRC:
- PSU mIRC - This mIRC install is preconfigured to connect to PSU IRC, it also has PSUSS pre-installed. Or if you would like just head over and download mIRC in it's original form.
- Our IRC FAQ - All the details you need to connect with many different clients.
- Web IRC Chat - You can connect right from the website!
Other clients also connect to IRC such as Trillian, Pigin, and Adium (Mac). If you have any problems connecting or need some help please visit our Site Support forum and let us know.
