Overview:

This is the longest, timewise, of the three heroics.  Vent is almost a necessity.  And you MUST know the layout of Espa in relation to the objectives.  The nice thing about this instance is that it is a real change of pace.  You dont have to worry about dying, you just have to keep npcs from dying.  Tuskens will usually just incap you.  Which means Ent buffs will last you the whole instance and are a must, IMO.  I recommend you sketch a map of the city on paper, with all the objectives and wps for the citizen spawns (three of them ) marked, so you can see what is close to what...

Group makeup... 2 Jedi, 2 medics, 2 BH, Mando, Officer  (this is always debatable)

Instance launches with Kav Goldor at the "University"  GuildHall just southwest of the Cantina.  The prereq quests have been covered in another post.

Phase 1:  Clear the objectives and Hold the cantina.

When you zone in, hop in a speeder and get to the cantina.  Clear it.   Leave 3 toons (medic, BH, Jedi)  in the Cantina, to keep Kav alive during the phase.   Focus on elites first, Kav is a gold elite and can handle the little guys.

While part of the grp is babysitting, the other 5 toons  have to clear  SIX places of all tuskens...I suggest this order, based on location...Starport, Univeristy, Med Center, Hotel, Cloner, Combat Hall, Watto's....

Phase 1 is pretty easy.  Your first time in, use Phase 1 to get your bearings.

Phase 2:  Protect and Serve - if 10 citizens die, you lose

Ok, this is where it gets complicated, fast.  After phase 1, rebuff as fast as possible.  Split into two teams of 4.  In a few moments you will get a comm message about "some citizens in a house".   This locations will be either North (slums just south of Watto's), Middle (wp 33, 32) or South (wp -82, -266) in the city.  Familiarize yourself with these locations during phase 1.
Two types of citizens spawn here.   Regular citizens and "Experts".  You save the citizens, then converse with the experts.  You have to tell the experts where to go, escort them and get THREE of them to each objective.  Also, you want to have them travel as little as possible, as the city is crawling with tuskens...

North Location - send experts to Combat Hall (spawns militia to help you) and Wattos (creates droids to help fight)

Middle Location -  send experts to Cloner and Med Center (I think this heals the citz, but not sure)

South Location - send experts to Starport (gets a Ywing up and flying not sure if it helps) and University (supposedly gives you information about the tuskens, not sure what good it does)

Both teams respond to comm messages about where citizens are spawning - and only one location will be "hot" at a time.  First team immediately kills the fleshhunters (some may be in the building already)  AOEs ftw here.  First team then sends the experts to the closest locations.  SECOND team Clears out the tuskens in the immediate area, and the routes the experts are going to travel.  Kill asap.  Then Kill some more.   Rinse and repeat as new locations become hot and experts are sent to new objectives.   When you get a comm message about a new hot location, you have SECONDS to get there before citizens start dying.  Use speeders, frun.  Get there, get aggro, and get some.  The order locations become hot appears random, but there are only THREE possible spawn points as noted above - make sure your whole team knows where they are and where to go,or citz die and you wipe (experts count as citizens too, btw)

Tips:  Citizens like to go to the hotel...clear this area...several warlords, etc.   Also, cits and experts LOVE agroing a group of 4 tuskens and running into the middle of them from 50 m away to get themselves ganked...WHEN, not if, this happens, have a medic stasis the cits, then get aggro off of them FAST.   Sometimes they will get "lost" on their path.    There are a ton of ideas and strats here based on your grps skills. Have fun with it.

There are bugs here where you complete phase three, but the objectives dont update.  Just look for the "get to cantina" message.

Phase 3  Hail to the King, Baby...

OK, Regroup, rebuff at cantina.  First 5 Tusken Warlords spawn.  You have npcs to help you , and they go down pretty easy.  Then 5 elite guards show up with the King.  Stay with in your medics aoe heal range.  Pound the King like a red headed stepchild.  He dies.  The end.  So far he has dropped a kinetic/acid rifle schem, a gafferi kinetic/acid schem, and a Rucksack schem.  We got the Rucksack drop.  6 stat'd backpack that is exceptionally fugly.

Hope this is helpful.  I'm sure there are other strategies and other tips, but these worked for us.  Thanks to all the peeps on TC that  I got to grp with and  play through this thing.

Are you sure you can stasis the citizens? I remember trying once thinking that would be a good idea and it failed, but could have been a los issue.

Yes, I believe you can stasis the cits, and maybe Kav, too.

Also, when getting an ent buff, just about everything in there does kinetic damage, so you can spend the energy resist points someplace else.
