For the record, I wrote those notes, they apparently just didn't make it in.
Sorry! I'll be watching the feedback on these changes. Nelon especially was way too weak, but he has buffed up his diplomacy skills.
Thanks,

Hmm, I'm not sure. That's the first I've heard of that. It sounds like a display issue. The cards he uses that are available to you are the exact same ability, not a different copy or anything.
Every single card had the star? Did he play Nelon's Babbling as his first card? That card should be starred. If he played it first, and then the next card he played had a star as well, it may just be UI.
Either way, the star itself doesn't affect the power of the card. It's just a notation. So it would just be a cosmetic (albeit confusing) bug.

I'll try playing one of my specialty cards to see if all my cards display that way when played (once I finish defragging and file checking -- had a strange crash where the screen went black and I heard the parley sounds around me about once every 30 seconds, all of them compressed into one sound blast, had to kill the game to get out).
Thanks! If you see any additional weirdness, please bug it and/or let me know if you get a chance. I would appreciate it.
Since you are reading this thread Jansen, i just want to throw this out there as I have not seen it mentioned in quite some time...Is no longer obtainable as the dragons that were dropping it were raised to lvl 100 when the plat coin change went live....sorry for the short derail.
Thanks Shular, I'll look into getting it back to dropping.

And Nelon started out by playing Twist of Wisdom -- it didn't have the star on it, and none of them did until he played Nelon's Babbling, then every card had it.So it is just a display issue.Edit: BTW, once I played the Harbinger of Guilt, all cards in my parleys with him are showing the star. And it's possible to circumvent his Nelons Babbling or Cold Logic cards, by playing Scattered Impressions then Harbinger of Guilt to start -- unlike using Word trap, he doesn't react to my having a huge amount of expression on my side.
Thank you for the confirmation on this!
I have this problem with every card I play. I never really looked if it persisted after playing one or that it was like that. I use CustomUI so I blamed it on that (not blaming you Slyde or any other UI maker, just there must be still something that didn't update correctly, it's fixed over time probably). But yes. I was one of the people who suggested to split them up. Now I wonder what will happen with the stacks in my bag. But really carrying around 10 of those, I could parley to no end and made a good amount of money from it without a problem.
