NOTE: Time/Date are based on when we expect to see snowballs back in the game for the Festival of Gloriann Also, we're assuming that we get snowballs in unlimited quantities like last year (as long as you spend the time picking up a bunch).
When: Saturday, December 20th, at 7 pm Eastern until we're all too exhausted to continue.
Where: Keejay Cove (yes, the entire island) in northeast Qalia
Here's how it's going down:
The Wings of Justice Guild Hall is in Keejay Cove (Rom, correct me if I have that wrong). I've been threatening Rom for months that the Shadowfire Armada was going to invade his island. And, well, we are. With snowballs!
But if it was just us and WoJ, well, it'd be fun, but not quite reaching its full potential. Soooo.
Everyone is invited to our snowball fight!
There's just one catch. You have to sign up on one side or the other. You can either help Shadowfire invade the island, or you can help Wings of Justice defend the island. It's easier for everyone to keep track of who's on which side if they can go by guild tag. Of course, half the fun of a good snowball fight is pegging your friends when they're not looking, so we won't be strictly enforcing the sides or anything.
So if you would like to come, please post and tell us which side you and/or your guild will be fighting on! For the invaders, the Shadowfire Armada will be departing the Khal Harbor promptly at 7 pm Eastern time on Saturday night, so you are welcome to ride or sail with us to Keejay Cove For the defenders, I'm sure Romulus will have someone willing to provide ferry service to his island.
Invaders
Defenders
(list will be updated as people post)
Darn, what side do I choose!?!
I would love to play, but events like these are so skewed towards favoring hardcore raiders that I am sure I won't have a chance. Folks that can afford to spend 5+ hours picking up snowballs in advance will have such a huge advantage I may as well not even bother. Hello SOE, I have a LIFE, I can't waste hours picking up snowballs for a snowball fight.
So I suggest a system where I can pick up ONE snowball the night before and stick into a Telonian Freezer over night. This freezer can be hard to quest for, but don't make it require raid gear like all other "group content". Once I leave the snowball in it over night I will have hundreds in the morning.
I think this would level the playing field between casuals and hardcore players in snowball fights.

Just get a lazer-beam snowball-generator from the gnomes. Problem solved.
The two previous posts aside, something to help your "team identification"
Have one group in crafting clothes, one in diplo clothes. But, if snowballs force you into your adventuring gear, you could do 1 of 2 things. Shirts vs skins (armor vs hopefully clothed no-armor PCs). The other option would be the CIS robes that were not soulbound and equipable by all. I'll let you two decide who's going to be the dress wearers.
Yeah, everyone gang up on your tanks, they can't wear light armor. No biggie, right? Next we'll see Rom's group LF tank.

Tanks? Are those like Clerics?
Or did you mean like super gnomeish snowball shooting mechancial tanks that we can zoom around the island with?
This sounds fun... i'll try to make it if I can (lag problems). But if I get hit with a yellow snowball I'll be mad as hell.

HAHA!
Woot! Good guys +1, WoJ 0
I'd like to sign up for the Defenders side, please.
FARNABY!!!!!!
You don't have to sign up really, but if you want to be part of the invading fleet, please make plans to meet up with us in Khal for the invasion If you don't have a ship you'll be able to hitch a ride, no problem.
