SOE is generous enough to provide us with a few snacks and drinks. The most popular snack by far seems to be the amazing "Rice Krispies Treat". The funny thing is that no matter how many boxes of these things they buy, they are almost always gone within a few days.

I think we have a Rice Krispies Treats monster that lives in the building and eats them all at night. Perhaps the server hamsters have started dining on them, who knows.

All I know is that right now we are all out of Rice Krispies Treats, but I still have one that I stashed earlier this week!

    Om nom nom nom...

Does that really say Super Secret Infoz on the white board? Please elaborate on that.

When things don't get done as fast as you'd like, it is most likely that all the devs are running about like that squirrel on "Over the Hedge" due to massive sugar overload!

PRE-FAB Rice Krispie Treats?? The horror! You poor, unloved devs...

Unfortunately, home-made would't get there from here before they got stale.

Thankfully the coffee machine never runs out though! :)

At the rate they are consumed, even Domino, a level 100 provisioner would not be able to keep up. It takes a factory of gnomes working 24 hours a day to meet the demand.

If you read Rothgar's comment the wrong way like I did the first time, it sounds like this is saying that Domino's rate of consumption is more than the provisioner could handle. Imagine how many gnomes it takes once you add Rothgar and the others into that formula!! Forget plat selling... invest in rice crispies, yo!

If you can't stand your spoon in it, it's not coffee :)

Besides, those that want weak coffee can just add some water. Sheesh.

    I love those things!

I keep economy sized boxes in my desk at work. I have to take elaborate security measures to make sure they do not disappear.

The bleeding stops pretty quick and they can keep working, so no ones complained yet... (Mostly because I use them to bribe everyone they would complain to)

Domino is a hobbit and heroic feats of consumption are certainly possible for her.
Apart from which Domino has travelled to the far reaches of the earth and brought back the secret of the ultimate energy food, Tim Tams!
Used by generations of Oz women to break through the glass ceilings of everyday life, she no doubt has a secret hoard enabling her to crush the aspirations of younger female IT workers attempting to compete with her.
For those that have observed the number of Oz Gold medals won by a country of 20m and wonder how, look no further than Vegemite and Tim Tams!
I understand the US swimming success was built on a solid diet of Twinkies?

So what is the back-up for the rice krispie treats? Guessing that it takes a while for that "node" to replenish.

You should always have your own emergency stash, wasnt there a song about Midnight Express along those lines?

Hah! So I'm not the only one in the house with a sweet tooth during the day. I see, I see... :)

Where I work all the women keep stashes of Choc in their desk "for emergencies" /ahem

"Choceur: Dark Chocolate" in mine. And the emergency is the impulse to do things that will get you on the wrong side of your legal system (murdering co-workers is bad, at least that's what I've been told). Little chocolate nom nom helps make sure everyone goes home after the work day.
That being said... I LOVE working for a German company. Even in the US branch we still usually have really good (read strong) coffee and good dark chocolate around somewhere.
