True "Ultra" Settings

  1. I just want to know if im actually running true "ultra" settings.
    This is my ini file. I read that with lighting at 5 and AO at 5 you can retain both high lighting effects and better reflections. I do have physx off and render quality at 1.21. Im running a GTX 680 but with these settings my GPU max framerate falls to 65-75 and if I turned up RQ is would fall below 60.
  2. I dunno but why do you have all the extra options:
    This is all I have under "rendering"
    [Rendering]
    GraphicsQuality=4
    TextureQuality=0
    ShadowQuality=3
    RenderDistance=999999.000000
    Gamma=0.000000
    MaximumFPS=120
    UseLod0a=0
    VSync=1
    OverallQuality=-1
    LightingQuality=4
    FogShadowsEnable=1
    EffectsQuality=4
    TerrainQuality=4
    FloraQuality=3
    ModelQuality=4
    ParticleLOD=4
    MotionBlur=1
    AO=1
    VerticalFOV=74
    GpuPhysics=1
  3. Some of these fields are from beta, some people think they still work so there is nothing bad with just putting them in there.
  4. Also, should I do anything to my PS2 settings in the Nvidia panel?
  5. [Display]
    RenderQuality=1.410000 (can go to 2.000 but that is up to your individual rig)

    [Rendering]
    OverallQuality=-1
    GraphicsQuality=5
    TextureQuality=0
    ShadowQuality=2 (this is medium shadows, my preference for more FPS, looks great, doesn't cause my computer to kill itself)
    LightingQuality=5
    EffectsQuality=5
    TerrainQuality=5
    ParticleQuality=5
    FloraQuality=5
    ModelQuality=5
    AOQuality=5
    AmbientOcclusionQuality=5
    VerticalFOV=74
    RenderDistance=3000.000000
    FloralDistanceScale=2.000000
    ParticleDistanceScale=2.000000
    EffectsDistanceScale=2.000000
    MaximumFPS=120
    Gamma=0.260000
    TerrainLOD=5
    FloralLOD=5
    EffectsLOD=5
    ParticleLOD=5
    UseLod0a=0
    VSync=1
    FogShadowsEnable=1
    AO=1
    GPUPhysics=0
    MotionBlur=0

    Sadly this screenshot does NOT do the game justice, it looks better ingame when you are standing there inspecting every little detail. (click for bigger size)

  6. Do you have to set the max FPS at 120? I have mine at 250.
  7. Nope, whatever you want it at. I never go above 60 ingame. I have vsync on permanently because my FPS is too unstable otherwise. I don't know if it's that way for everyone or not.
  8. The only thing I did through my GPU software settings was turn threaded optimization to On. I already unparked my cores but I figured might as well, no harm in turning that setting on in my GPU settings as well.
  9. Just ran a test of LightingQuality=5 vs 2 on GU06.
    5 still reverts to medium, you lose the sunlight effects.
